Debtors anonymous are a non profit organisation that was set up in 1976 in the U.S.A. and has spread throughout that country and other parts of the world. Surprising there is no official meeting group in Australia although unofficially there may be. This organisation bases its program on Alcoholics Anonymous and prides itself on not being allied with any other organisation and only accepts internal revenue ie from debtors anonymous members.

The program relies on members attending weekly meetings, using mentors and following some of their guidelines.

It has some key points which are constantly reinforced.
